More Critic Reviews for Succession Season 2 All Critics (55) | Top Critics (21) | Fresh (54) | Rotten (1) Succession is a series about monstrous rich people that manages to be exhilarating and grim as hell at the same time. Aug 30, 2019 | Full Review… Alison Willmore BuzzFeed News Top Critic It's almost irresponsible how good it is, but luckily the only people who would actually reenact it are also already boars themselves. Aug 5, 2019 | Rating: A | Full Review… Ben Travers indieWire Top Critic There is enough back-stabbing and secretive planning among the Roys to keep them joyless - and to keep us joyfully entertained - for some time to come. Aug 22, 2019 | Full Review… Matthew Gilbert Boston Globe Top Critic There's not enough absorbency in a tissue factory to mop up the verbal effluent when the warring siblings and their irascible patriarch get together to talk business. Aug 15, 2019 | Rating: 5/5 | Full Review… Suzi Feay Financial Times Top Critic It should be said that Succession isn't for the faint-hearted. Foul-mouthed insults flew thick and fast, while several scenes would have been pretty impenetrable to new viewers. Aug 13, 2019 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review… Michael Hogan Daily Telegraph (UK) Top Critic There are moments - usually when the camera jerks towards Kendall's vacant, flummoxed face - when I believe that Succession is just about the best thing I've ever seen on television. Aug 13, 2019 | Full Review… Rachel Cooke New Statesman Top Critic The performances are so compelling it is hard to look away, but the effect is like watching a car crash you are somehow also involved in. Sep 26, 2019 | Full Review… Kathryn Reklis The Christian Century Old, entitled babies make for brilliant comedy. Sep 25, 2019 | Full Review… Lauren Carroll Harris ABC News (Australia) Succession is often angled as an upper-crust drama, but in fact... it succeeds as a dark comedy, a satire full of despicable characters that are inexplicably delightful to watch. Sep 10, 2019 | Full Review… Jac Kern Cincinnati CityBeat Much better than Dynasty or Falcon Crest; better written, better interpreted, more complex and bold, but without losing that air of soap opera with very bad guys and traitors and ambitious in general. [Full Review in Spanish] Sep 9, 2019 | Full Review… Sergio Del Molino El Pais (Spain) Between...larger discussions of the malleability of values in the face of extravagant wealth, "Tern Haven" finds plenty of ways to put the Roys through the psychological wringer. Macfayden, Snook and the guy who plays Greg (can't remember his name!) are a few standouts for me. I honestly can't remember the last time a show was this consistently engaging. It was criminally underrepresented at the emmys. Hopefully that changes for this season Marj M 5d ago I didn't believe this show could become more nerve racking but the 2nd season gave me a full on panic attack. Jesus Christ. M C Oct 05, 2019 This show is so evil it is brilliant. These four adult children are being manipulated by an evil baron of a father. And in an every man for himself world, this is spellbinding. Courtney B Oct 01, 2019 This show is simply fantastic! You will find yourself rewatching episodes to try and catch all the angles. Its a must see! Jake C Sep 30, 2019 I love this show, the acting is great, the cast meld well. Its funny and having a go and great entertainment. More shows like this would be great. No violence etc. If its not going on I do not know why because it can only get better and there is much bigger story to tell as we know Susan S Sep 25, 2019 Reminds me of the good old days of the Dallas TV series, except that now they get to show all the bad things not allowed back then. Susan M Sep 25, 2019 Great show with fascinating acting and good writing and also this show has drama and black comedia this show when l watct it it make me nervous ??and when l try to put my self in the characters situation l dont know what to do???? Zain A Sep 25, 2019 The 3.5 is for the theme song. Else, It would be 2.5 stars. It is not very inventive or that great. The dysfunction is kinda funny. Suv M Sep 24, 2019 Incredible and even better than last season. Katie A Sep 22, 2019 Among the best TV Show in recent years. Music, editing, acting and plot are all incredible.
